Dear Erik, thanks for your ongoing energy and writing quality. I enjoy everything you write, regardless if I share the specific opinion or not, and will definitely continue to read all your stuff. You make some intriguing observations and conclusions; you write with intellectual cleverness and a good sense for relevance in our times; your self-doubt honors you, but rest assured, you give away the positive impression that you really know what you are doing!

Cool! Let's admire the Elden Ring trailer together! What a reveal, right? I'm so excited, I can barely wait for January. I hope you will be posting first impressions after release.

Keep on trucking Erik! I always look forward to your thoughtful reviews. Whether I agree (most of the time) or not, I always come away with food for thought. I’m a huge fantasy fan and would appreciate a bit more of your thoughts on novels as well, if that’s your thing. Hoping you find your sweet spot!

Thanks DeeVee! Yes, I plan on covering more fiction/fantasy/sci-fi here as well. Any good ones you recommend?

For fantasy, The Broken Earth trilogy, by Jemisin has some of the best world-building and writing I’ve read in quite awhile and very poignant for the current times. For sci/fi, The Murderbot’s novellas by Wells are incredibly funny and cynical at the same time. What does it mean to be human? I’d love to hear your thoughts.

I have the first book in both these series sitting on my Kindle waiting to be read, so this will spur me to action, thanks!!
